Customs forms: describe goods clearly
Use a specific, accurate contents description and value.
Cross-border shipments may need customs information such as a plain-language item description, quantity, value, weight, origin, and tariff classification. The details should match the parcel and the seller’s records. Vague descriptions can delay review or cause a correction request.
Use the postal or carrier system required for the destination and service. Some customs data must be sent electronically and some forms have strict official layouts. A printable draft is not evidence that a declaration has been filed or accepted.
